questions for fellow lupies!

I went to Walkers Bluff Winery with a few friends for a 21st birthday celebration. It was a beautiful place to spend the day with great friends. As we were on our way out I rolled my ankle and am worried about blood-clotting now. Does anyone know if I should be concerned about that issue with the medications, or even just having lupus? Is it worth calling the doctor over?

One Step at a Time

On October 2nd, 2010 I am participating in the Walk for Lupus Now, being held at Carondelet Park in St. Louis. This year's goal for the Lupus Foundation of America - Heartland Chapter is to raise $70,000, allowing the LFA to provide education and support services to people living with lupus, and support much needed lupus research! Many of you know, Lupus is an acute and chronic (life-long) autoimmune disease in which the immune system is unbalanced, causing inflammation and tissue damage to virtually every organ system in the body. It affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans and approximately 30,000 in the state of Missouri, eastern Kansas, and southeren Illinois.

I have made my own donation by purchasing many 'life without lupus' wrist bands, anyone who makes a donation or joins 'Team Beans' will receive one if they would like. It will help spread awareness of lupus.

Please consider a donation or joining "Team Beans" in our effort to battle a disease that follows no rules! Feel free to contact me by e-mail for any further questions.
